Welcome!Elma McElligott is a licensed Acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) with a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture from Greenwich University.

Elma McElligott offers acupuncture treatment for a range of conditions with a caring, compassionate and professional attitude. She is an experienced health professional with some 30 years of working both in the NHS and private sectors.

In 2009 the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended that Acupuncture should be made available on the NHS, as a cost effective short term treatment for the management of early, persistent non-specific back pain. This latest recommendation from NICE in September 2012 that GP's should consider a course of up to 10 sessions of acupuncture for the preventative treatment of tension-type headaches and migraine is welcome news for those people suffering with these debilitating conditions.

This service is for 20 minute taster sessions at the Courtyard clinic on Saturdays. charge of £5 is payable for this service.
